Quick stupid question..... im sorry if it is already in here..... If they ever take off the cap and raise it up 10-20 or what ever..... what happens to people like me who have been at lvl 20for awhile and have alot more exp than some other 20's. Do they jump half way to the next cap?

which means we don't have to worry about providing different levels of content. All the good stuff will be available to everyone. It's not our intent to force people onto the levelling up treadmill, so the level cap in Guild Wars is almost meaningless.[/

the only rigging is people voting and you cant vote twice
all you level grinders get used to it
THIS IS NOT A LEVEL GRIND AND MOST OF US LIKE IT THAT WAY
people disagree with the way the world looks to you and suddenly its rigged

only a small percentage of GW gamers voted (101).........which depicts and creates a false image that most gamers dont want the cap to be raised

Sorry I dont agree and am thinking of not bothering to play until it changes, if they won't allow us level up they could at least allow us to max our attributes out it just seems pointless doing the missions and not being able to advance your character

So can u explain the point of buying a game that u can complete in less than a week. Where is the enjoyment of roleplaying when your character is hamstrung. WoW has a lvl 60+ limit and MU goes into the 100's I really think this needs to be addressed by the developers.

I stated on these forums a couple of weeks ago that the lvl cap is IMO what is going to prevent this game from being played for more than ~ 3 months or so by most people. For me, after hitting the cap and Ascending 3-4 days ago, my interest went down by like 90%. To all of those who maintain that it's np and even better that way (heh), more power to you. Keep looking for that deep content.

I'm almost level 20 and don't really want to hit it any time soon as to spoil my fun of not being able to advance more, I'm not into PVP and when I have fooled around with it using henchmen as my companions they seem to get wasted easy.
I like just grabing some henchmen or solo adventuring out and about, I think it would be nice if they raised the cap to 9999 and just added more mobs and zones with higher levels, and for the PVP allow for arena's to have level limit matches like up to 20 or 20-30 or 500-600 etc.
Right now I find myself back tracking and soloing all the starter zones just to see how long I can go without help and maybe find the odd black dye or something worth while finding.
I still have a beef with the machanics of the game though, too many times have I got stuck in graphic pot holes and trapped by my pet or henchmen, it spoils the fun especially when it's a critical battle going on and I cannot move fuildly where I need 2B.
In general I'm still very pleased with the over all game for what it is and isn't.
It is beautiful graphics, it isn't the dungeon and dragon MMORPG I've longed for 2B.

Well, the numbers are probably true, for now. However, think of it this way.... a sizable # of people (around 40% total) are already considering raising the cap sometime in the future. This is after the game has been out for less than a month and content is still fresh! In another month, that # will go up and over the 50% mark, and they will be thinking of raising the cap in months instead of years. In 6 months, with no cap growth (or at least attribute growth, as that is really what is important, not clvl's), this game will be dead. So basically, there are 2 alternatives here: either the developers will drastically alter their original intent, or by the time expansions come out, no one will give a rat's behind. I think that eventually, economics will win out, and the caps (or attributes) will be raised (probably in increments, but by a lot in total).
The developers set out to create something different. Interestingly enough, as far as the games elements, they have IMO imroved in many traditional areas of this genre and for that they get a big PLUS in my book. Unfortunately, in those areas where they tried to completely rewrite the book, they have failed miserably and get a big MINUS. The minus outweighs the plus as it is in a category which is completely integral to games of this genre, and that is character development. This system almost completely shuts down character development after lvl 20, and that breaks a game of this type. If only they stuck to improving and not turning things upside down, this game would have been a classic. As it is now, it is a classic letdown.

The game isn't level based so why should the level cap be raised? You can't go into GW the same way you did with every other MMO you have played. It is hands down different and not pretending to be anything other than that.
And I am willing to bet most people who are saying "I am not into pvp" come from the same opinion as me, where it has never been fun for you in the MMO's already on the market, cause it was not balanced, or it depended on finding certain items to be worth anything at it. Well guess what, I hated pvp in almost every mmo I have played, but GW I want to do it, I enjoy it and I want more of it. It is just darn fun
Big props to the GW devs for the vision they have and I fully support it.
cheers

I totally support the game dev's on how they created the game. I think that they did a wonderful job and they took the time to make sure that everything was right. But there are just some things that you need to tweak and change in the game.
I think that they level cap should be raised SOME. Maybe to lvl 50 or so, and for all the people that say there are gonna be alot of noob killers, just make it so where you can only attack people that are say 5-10 lvls higher or lower than yours...
